The elegant design of the 19LV506 is the perfect complement to your kitchen decor, and you won’t have to compromise shelf or counter space for style and performance. Multi digital tuning allows for tuning of standard cable channels as well as off-air digital broadcasts, in addition to digital “cable-in-the-clear” broadcasts. Using PC input, the 19LV506 can be used in conjunction with a computer, and the A/V input, HDMI and component input can be used for gaming and receiving HD broadcasts. The built-in DVD player makes this LCD HDTV a convenient and feature-rich viewing solution.

4 Stars White Aesthetic
My bedroom TV had to be white and small so the selection was limited. I chose this Toshiba because of its dual functionality. Previous reviewers criticized the sound quality, which I don’t find a problem because of my room configuration. Setting up the channels takes a long time once the channel scan is completed. I like to remove many channels from the sequence in the remote control up/down function – not easy on this model. You always have to start at Channel 2, then methodically work your way up through the lineup. The picture quality is fine, though I suggest spending time color correcting (read the manual!). Nice to have the DVD feature. The remote control is well designed (glows in the dark,) though I have yet to find how you can jump from one channel to the last watched channel . . . hmm . . . maybe I should get back to reading the manual.

We bought a Toshiba 19″ TV with built in DVD player about a year and a half ago. Within 30 days of initial use, a DVD jammed in the player and would not eject. We had purchased it at Circuit City and they had a 30 day return policy; we bought the TV for a Christmas present so the 30 days elapsed before it was even used the first time, my mistake. Circuit City would not allow a return because the 30 days had expired. They told us to contact Toshiba directly for warranty work. Toshiba wanted to make us pay to ship the defective product for warranted repairs. After many frustrating minutes and elevation to a supervisor, Toshiba finally agreed to send a postage paid label and pay the shipping costs. Toshiba returned the repaired set.

Here it is about a year and a half later and the same thing happened, a DVD is stuck making the DVD player useless. Poor quality and poor customer service so I’ve concluded to not buy Toshiba again. Too bad because I had good luck with old Toshiba TVs.

The TV is fine, it’s just the built in DVD player that is poor quality.

I would not recommend a Toshiba with built in DVD player.

5 Stars Winner for kids Room
If your looking for a HDTV with DVD for the kids room, THIS IS A WINNER. Picture is great and everything can work from the dish remote. Very user friendly. I hooked up the game system and have no complaints there either. NOt to mention it has a very sleek look.

5 Stars Toshiba TVs ROCK
I am hooked on the Toshiba/DVD units. The picture is great, sound is great, and the size of this 19″ unit is awesome. The screen resembles a monitor- and snuggles in to small spaces easily. I was surprised at the packaging–just the slim box with a label on it were at my front door in 2 days. HOWEVER, it went together easy and was operational in minutes.

This is the 3rd tv like this we have purchased. The other 2 were the smaller model and we have enjoyed them for years–lots of hours on them with the DVD feature. Nice remotes, they light up in the dark.
