Antennas Direct DB4 Multi Directional HDTV Antenna

The DB4 has become our most popular model because it is simply the best Mid Range HDTV antenna on the market. With an approximate 13.7 dB gain, it is one of the strongest multi-directional antennas available and performs consistently across the entire UHF spectrum. It even works well in areas where HD transmitters are in multiple directions.

5 Stars Very happy with the results
I am very pleased with the results of this antenna. We live 46 miles from the broadcast towers in Cleveland, OH, and 52 miles from the broadcast towers in Toledo, OH. I mounted the antenna on the roof of our two story house using a J-mount. When I attached the digital converter box to the antenna using 75 feet of cable, the signal strength showed good to excellent on the meter for stations in both cities. Unfortunately, when I had to extend the cable distance to place the TV in our den, the signal strength weakened and some stations were not viewable. I added an in-line booster and the problem was solved. This antenna is very powerful without an in-line booster if you keep your cable lengths to 75 feet or less. Beyond 75 to 100 feet of cable, I would recommend an in-line booster. I now get 20 stations, including Detroit Michigan signals that make it over Lake Erie when the weather is good.
5 Stars Surprisingly Good
I was ready for the DTV transition with a Channel Master “Arrowhead” antenna in the attic. Unfortunately, the signal strengths were weak here 35 miles from Raleigh. I tried an amplifier first and gained most of the channels…then I replaced my 5′ antenna with this little wonder. Now I’m getting all the expected Raleigh stations plus a number of Greensboro (45 mi away) stations that are not designed to be reachable here. This is a wonderful little antenna.
1 Star What do you get for around $50 ??
Not much!!! Very flimsy product that is made in Taiwan and has about 10 bucks worth of metal in it. A classic case of importing something that costs next to nothing and fleecing the American public.
I took down my old Radio Shack antenna I bought over 16 years ago to upgrade to this antenna. With the Radio Shack antenna I was getting only 8 channels after the digital switch…..but now…. I am only getting 6 channels with this high tech alumunum beer can. I am about 30-40 miles from Philadelphia so I had high hopes that this would improve my reception situation. Not even close!!!
I wish I had never bought this antenna and had just left what I had up there alone. What a waste!!!!
4 Stars Works as well has can be expected
Antenna is very simple to setup and works well at times. My only complaint is not the antenna but the fact that I have 3 tuners and 2 splitters from this antenna. Bedroom get all channels that I would want but in living room. I have TV and a Media Center Computer they get all but one channel. Even with amplifier here still have problem. Just have to adjust antenna again to find that sweet spot. I live in North Sacramento but I was able to get channels from the Bay Area one night when I did a rescan. Using Zenith converter box in bedroom, and in living room have TV tuner and a usb tuner for computer. I would say to get the most out of the antenna website like antennaweb.org have helped a lot in getting antenna lined up to broadcast signal. Over all if this antenna continues to work as well as it has I would gladly purchase this model again or the DB8 in the future.
2 Stars Waste of money
Very weak! live about 15 to 18 miles from antenna towers and this antenna is a waste of money… After messing with this for a few hours trying to get better reception i disconnected it and put back my (rabbit ears) and get way better reception from the local stations..DON’T waste your money. You can buy mine for cheap, if anybody still wants to try this antenna..
