5 Stars The best 52 inch out there
After returning a defective Samsung LN-52A550, I decided to give this a try. Bhoy I made the right decision! Ignore any contrast ratio rating by so called experts. This is the one to own. Aquos picture is the best in the business. Clarity of pictures is so amazing. So crisp on HDTV, that we can’t help on watching more blu-ray on it. I also use this as an awesome monitor while I type this review. Never again will I stray on another Korean brand like Samsung. Their quality and customer service is pathetic. I was also considering the SONY KDL-52V4100. Picture is not close to this Aquos. You have to get their XBR series to land a crisp picture compared to this Aquos.

Pros: 5Hdmi, 4ms response time . Slimmest of the bunch,3.0 Energy Certified. Amazing picture with correct setting, great design, Japanese quality,exceptional customer serice. This is Acura, Lexus of televisions

1 Star Stopped working after 6 mths
This seemed like the best deal for the size tv I wanted. I first had a problem with the delivery. I was told the tv would be set up for me as long as I had the tv stand, but the delivery men said they were not authorized to do that and just brought the box inside. After having the tv for 6 mths, the picture went out. I called the customer service # and the rep said to hold down 2 buttons at the same time. When I did this, smoke started coming out of the back of the tv. They said they would send someone out to fix it in a wk, but no one showed up. When they finally did come they said they had to order a part and would be back in a wk. It has been over a week and still have not heard from them.

unbelievable picture. you can find calibration settings on cnet. I agree…contrast ratios are overrated….amazing picture and clarity. I also purchased the cheetah mount and had this tv on the wall in less than an hour. saved a lot of money compared to buying at bestbuy etc.

no negatives about this TV at all. I was comparing this to the Samsung and Sony V series….just got a heck of deal on this and I am not looking back.

5 Stars Husby’s New Love
All last year Husby and I looked at TV’s, compared prices, sizes and most importantly quality! Finally, he found one and he hasn’t been able to take his eyes off of it. So we have another big-screen television! Currently this TV is sitting in our bedroom while we try to figure out where to move the 46/48 inch RCA that’s currently in the living room.

Now I’m not all “technical” when it comes to TV’s. The only thing I need is for it to power on when I want it, a remote and mute if the conversation on the phone gets good. Don’t tell husby, but I’m starting to dig his newest toy. I love that it’s a flat-screen. It’ll add more room to the living room and it looks like you’re at the movies. Not to mention I can hook my PC up to it. DAMN… I can’t even imagine how that would look.

4 Stars Nice set for small area, sound a bit lacking
This is a nice set for a small area, such as a kitchen or bath, or small bedroom. Picture appears excellent, depending on the source channel. It auto-tuned all of the analog & digital channels from Comcast, and filtered out the scrambled (premium) channels. The set displays guide information (channel name, program) for many of the digital channels, but not the analog channels. The included stand can be rotated to 90 degrees and used as a wall mount, or a standard VESA mount (separately purchased) may be used. Changes channels quite fast.

The biggest annoyance is the relatively tinny sound, followed by the 9-10 second power-on time. There’s a fair bit of tweaking room on the sound menu, but the low end isn’t quite as full as one would like for a set listened to from a distance. The sound weakness was the main factor in dropping my rating to 4 stars.

There aren’t many options for a small *white* television set. I might have considered Sharp but their 19-inch white set has been discontinued. All in all, it’s a decent set with a few shortcomings.

I bought this TV because the Samsung brand has started to grow on me, you get what you payfor over some of the less well known brands which lack picture quality over this one. The inputs on this tv are great with an hdmi and pc vga input over the standard inputs you’d expect. The styling is great as well. When in doubt you can use it as a computer monitor and tv for a bedroom and save the space of having both.

5 Stars Review for SAMSUNG LCD HD TV 26″ details
I had limited space, so I scanned much of the internet to find the best LCD HD TV for my special need. After several days of surfing many possibilities, I settled on the highly rated SONY Bravada series or the SAMSUNG 460 with “A touch of Color” on the front panel which in this case was a light brushing of dark red across the bottom AND an unusual transparent clear stand (bezel) with some dark red highlights. I chose the SAMSUNG because everything being equal, I was REALLY INTRIGUED by the unusual transparent stand and platform and other design extras SAMSUNG seemed to carefully include in their product. Ordering through AMAZON was extremely easy and quick and I had every reason to believe I was going to again, receive exactly what was in the picture and what I ordered.

I received The 26″ SAMSUNG in less than a week, carefully packed and factory sealed. Unpacking it and setting it up was very easy and took less than 20 minutes; the instructions were also very easy and logical. The only problem, I purposely ordered THIS TV instead of the SONY, because of the clear (transparent) stand as illustrated in ALL the product pictures, but they sent one with a black stand instead. I contacted the seller AND Amazon about the mistake and they all told me to contact SAMSUNG which I Immediately did. SAMSUNG took all the information and made a report and was VERY cordial, but to this date (going on two months) nothing more has yet happened. I loved the product and the shipping service but as yet the mistake has NOT been resolved and corrected.

1 Star Shocking Disappointment
We purchased this Samsung LCD television (model LN26B460) in mid-May and used it for less than 2 weeks when we lost BOTH the sound and the picture. We shipped it back to Samsung and tracked it. Samsung had it for 5 days before they notified us that they received it. We talked to them several days ago after hearing nothing from them in weeks and were told that they don’t have the part to fix it yet, and they don’t know when they will. So…we are watching our SONY TV that’s 15 years old and has never had a problem. We bought the Samsung on the recommendation of someone who as it. Mistake! At the very least, Samsung should have had back up parts before they marketed this product.!

Based on the research I did prior to purchasing this product, Samsung had the best quality-price ratio. When it was delivered and I set it up (easy), it certainly didn’t disappoint. HD is spectacular in most forms, but this model has a superior picture to other brands I’ve seen in stores (Except Sony…about the same picture quality).

A year after I bought this, we needed another set for the living room…so I have 2 of these.

1 Star Worthless Frames
I ordered three of thesse hoping to avoid using a cable box on some extra tv’s. The price was good and they arrived promptly. But, that’s where it all ended. The construction is cheap. The frame is held together with no more than on flat nail per corner. It fell apart while pulling out of the box. More importantly the reception was very poor. Now this is living about ten miles from the Empire State Building. I returned them all. Forunately, my money was refunded promptly.

This item gave no reception even when pressed up against a window. The frame and stand fell apart about 5 minutes after assembly.

5 Stars Surprisingly powerful for an unamplified antenna
Before buying the Antennas Direct PF7 picture frame antenna, I had owned the Terk HDTVa, Winegard SS-3000, and Philips MANT510. Of these four antennae, the Terk got the best reception for me, but its awkward shape didn’t fit anywhere in my small apartment. I bought the Winegard and Philips antennae in hopes that their unique shapes would let them fit better in my home theater. Unfortunately, they didn’t get very good reception unless I precariously balanced them in odd locations.

Finally, I discovered the Antennas Direct PF7 and it’s ALMOST perfect. Unlike my three previous antennae, the PF7 does not have its own amplifier. However, because of its unique design, I’m able to mount it on a north-facing wall so it gets me almost as good of reception as the previous three amplified antennae. I believe that if I just buy a third-party amplifier, I’ll get perfect reception with this thing.

The cherry wood frame looks great from a distance, but it’s just made of particle board material and it feels a little flimsy. Fortunately, the actual antenna is the picture frame backing, which is held on by four pivoting pins located on the wooden frame. Most picture frames share this design so you can probably find another 8×10 frame that suits your decor and just swap the cardboard back for the PF7 antenna.

The mounting hole is a protruding plastic piece that sticks out of the back of the antenna plate. This is different than most picture frames which have the mount attached to the frame. The mount sticks out a bit to allow room for the permanently attached coaxial cable to dangle down behind the antenna. This means that the picture frame can’t be mounted flush against your wall, but it’s really not that noticeable.

Pros:

- Amazing reception for an unamplified antenna. It almost matches the performance of my Terk, Philips, and Winegard antennae.

- Looks great mounted above my HDTV.

- The wooden frame can be replaced with any standard 8×10 picture frame that uses pivoting pins to hold the frame backing in place.

Cons:

- The coaxial cable is permanently attached to the antenna.

- Because of the thick coaxial cable, the picture frame cannot mount flush against the wall, but it’s not that noticeable.

- The wooden frame could be a little higher quality, but it’s really not bad.

Overall, I’m extremely happy with this purchase because it provides an ingenious and elegant alternative to having a giant HDTV antenna in my living room. My only other complaint isn’t really against the PF7. I just wish Antennas Direct offered a larger, more powerful version! A 16×10 picture frame antenna would be awesome.

This is a very good indoor antenna. All indoor antennas have limitations compared to their outdoor alternatives, but this not only does the best job compared to all other indoor ones I’ve tried, but it also fits into the decor quite well.

A DB2, DB4, C2, or C4 would pick up signals extremely better, but are very intrusive to the decor of your home.

4 Stars Great image although not very loud
I use my 22″ Vizio just for watching DVDs, since I don’t get any free t.v. reception or pay for any. I’m glad I bought it. The image is great! The 22″ size works fine for me or for me and a friend; for more viewers of course bigger would be better, but this one is small enough to put away in a nook of my bedroom when not needed in the living room, and is nice and light weight for moving.

Don’t worry about the extra black bars reported by a couple of the viewers; I had that until I went into my DVD player’s setup and told it I now had a 16:9 t.v.

The only reason I don’t give this five stars is that it doesn’t get very loud. I seem to play most movies with the volume set at around 75% most of the time, and there have been several movies that I’ve played most of at 100% volume. I’m usually watching alone in a fairly quiet apartment with only the buzz of a space heater 6 feet away to overcome, and I sit just a few feet from the t.v. So this doesn’t bode well for anyone hard of hearing or living in a noisier household. I suppose you would fix it by attaching external speakers purchased separately.

Incidentally I bought it February ‘09 at Sam’s Club for 298.00 plus tax.

4 Stars Good one but for the sound
The TV is a good one for the money. I bought this one at the sams club for 268 dollars which was cheaper than Amazon. There are only 2 HDMI ports. Would be nice if it had atleast 3. Picture quality was good but the sound quality was not so good. I’ve to attach external speakers to have a lively sound. The power consumption was only 40 watts and it is a plus point. Overall I’m pleased with my purchase.

The price and most features are very nice, however, the on-screen text is impossible to read from even 6-8 feet away. The unit has no way to alter the text size according to their tech support. So if it’s important that you can see what channel, etc. is being indicated, you need to look elsewhere.

4 Stars Great TV for the price!
I’m very impressed with the quality of this TV for such a low price. I needed a small set for my office and 22″ is the ideal size for my viewing distance and available space. This Vizio is perfect for my needs. The quality of the HD picture is crisp and clear, the color full and rich, the blacks deep and true.

The only slight negatives are the sound is a little tinny, but that seems to be common to all flat screen TV’s, and the remote control isn’t very intuitive. But these are very small complaints. I’ve already gotten used to the sound and it’s just a matter of learning the remote.

I have a large Sony Bravia in my family room with the full surround sound set up, so I go there if I want to watch a movie. But for watching TV while I work at my computer, it’s ideal. Very impressive little TV, much more than I expected for such a low price.

4 Stars Great little TV for the bedroom
I wanted a small, inexpensive TV for the bedroom, and this one turned out to be perfect in most ways. The picture is great and the sound is fine for the way I use it–I have not connected a DVD player to it yet, so I can’t speak to the problems some people have experienced.

I agree with other reviewers that the weakest part is the onscreeen menu using the remote. It is simply too small to see it without getting real close to the set. Given the fact that it’s in the bedroom, and I use it a lot to set the sleep timer, that is a real negative. I also agree that the “normal” “wide” and “panoramic” settings for altering the proportions of the picture are inadequate. Then again, for a secondary set, the price is right, and the quality of the picture is just fine.

I should add that I also bought this at Costco about a month ago and it was only $269 plus tax.

4 Stars Works but instructions could be better
The product worked well; my reception with no 2-way passive splitter before the amp is the same as my reception after installation of a passive 2-way splitter, one branch feeding the amp, the other my cable modem.

The instructions on the box indicate the cable modem could be fed through the amp, but the instruction sheet inside says to use a passive splitter. I wish they could either get their story straight, or explain the pros and cons if there really is no clear answer.

The listing does not make it obvious, but the power supply plugs in indoors (120 V AC) and is routed through a coax to the amp, which could be outdoors, becase the housing is weathertight. Just be sure to use waterproof coax connectors if using it outside.

You supply your own mounting screws and coax.

I was having trouble with my digital cable signal becoming too weak after just 2 splices. This boosts my signal to give us enough margin that we don’t have the DVR flaking out, or loosing the programing guide in the digital receiver box. It saves us a lot of hassle.

4 Stars Great TV beware of sound system you buy
Had the TV installed today and learned during the installation that it does not support the Bose cinematic sound system I bought. This LG product only supports optical input. My tech installer had never seen a TV that only had an optical input requirement. I’m happy with the TV’s picture so the sound system is being returned. Considering I bought both at the same time through Amazon it would have been nice if there had been a non-compatibility warning from them… Have had the TV for a little over a week now. The picture is amazing. With some of DVDs it feels like you’re on the soundstage while they are making the movie

this lcd with the 240 hz is great, best picture quality i seen with my blue ray and hdmi cable with 1.3 and over 240 hz quality.. and the clear voice sound is great also… use to be all you hear is the background sounds and music play in a movie.. and low voice, now its better with this lg lcd tv, has all the inputs i like to see on a tv….

Outstanding!! — I bought this product after looking at quite a few different brands. I was not let down. The 240Hz is perfect for sports and fast moving shows with a lot of action — picture quality is A-1, sharp and very clear and does NOT blur with fast and quick action. Has many different functions than a person can use to change the format that he or she likes best. The menu interface is very EASY to use and gives many options with input, picture, and audio settings. A real great feature is “clear voice” which sharpens normal speach and makes hearing easier especially with a lot of background noise. Also if watching a DVD the TV remembers the settings that are programmed into that particular imput even though they may be different from the settings while watching normal TV channels. A person doesn’t have to re-program each time you watch a DVD or other optional component

Love this TV. It was easy for a single woman to set up alone. Operations are easy; great design. My only complaint is the delay between channel changes is pretty long, about 2 or 3 seconds. Other than that, the picture is great, the sound is excellent (front facing speaker), and the remote control is simple. Great TV for the price.

5 Stars Not perfect, but I couldn’t give 4.5 stars
Bought this primarily for watching HD movies and playing HD games via Xbox 360. I knew that there would be a bit of lag with it, but I had judged it to be negligible from my experiences with an LG 32″ I had. Wasn’t a good judging stick. The LG blows away the Bravia in this sense, in all others though, the Bravia comes out on top. Great picture, good color depth, nice and bright when I need it, and HD movies come out crisp and clear. However, the dark side to LCD technology is the lag that shows up when playing fast moving games. The good news, is that for a 32″ LCD, it’s actually not too bad. Right around 42ms. That can have serious consequences in an FPS style game, but once you get used to it, the lag basically disappears from your brain. Overall a great tv, well worth what I paid for it.

4 Stars Quite Expensive TV
I have two 32in TV. One from Samsung, which I bought for 350 as a used product (it’s 2 year old product). I also got Sony for $480 brand New. I was expecting some difference from Sony vs Samsung, not because of the Brand, but because of the relatively newer technology from Sony. After having played with picture setting, I still liked Samsung better. Also, for some reason, Samsung screen feels bigger as well. I’m not saying Sony has bad picture, but if you can get a decent price for older LCD, you are not going to find much difference as long as you are getting one from one of these name brands. I use the TV for signals from PS3 and Cable as well as signals off the air.

5 Stars Obscenely Incredible! It’s a scandal!
I purchased this TV to use as a monitor. What an obscenely beautiful monitor it is! The images are almost 3D and crystal clear. My Samsung 22″ monitor does not measure up. Streaming TV shows from HULU & Joost are incredible! With this gorgeous monitor, I don’t have to adjust the zoom & text sizes, no matter what. I cannot find any negative feature on this. Now, I am thinking of buying a game console very soon.
