4 Stars Great image although not very loud
I use my 22″ Vizio just for watching DVDs, since I don’t get any free t.v. reception or pay for any. I’m glad I bought it. The image is great! The 22″ size works fine for me or for me and a friend; for more viewers of course bigger would be better, but this one is small enough to put away in a nook of my bedroom when not needed in the living room, and is nice and light weight for moving.

Don’t worry about the extra black bars reported by a couple of the viewers; I had that until I went into my DVD player’s setup and told it I now had a 16:9 t.v.

The only reason I don’t give this five stars is that it doesn’t get very loud. I seem to play most movies with the volume set at around 75% most of the time, and there have been several movies that I’ve played most of at 100% volume. I’m usually watching alone in a fairly quiet apartment with only the buzz of a space heater 6 feet away to overcome, and I sit just a few feet from the t.v. So this doesn’t bode well for anyone hard of hearing or living in a noisier household. I suppose you would fix it by attaching external speakers purchased separately.

Incidentally I bought it February ’09 at Sam’s Club for 298.00 plus tax.

4 Stars Good one but for the sound
The TV is a good one for the money. I bought this one at the sams club for 268 dollars which was cheaper than Amazon. There are only 2 HDMI ports. Would be nice if it had atleast 3. Picture quality was good but the sound quality was not so good. I’ve to attach external speakers to have a lively sound. The power consumption was only 40 watts and it is a plus point. Overall I’m pleased with my purchase.

3 Stars Good and bad
The price and most features are very nice, however, the on-screen text is impossible to read from even 6-8 feet away. The unit has no way to alter the text size according to their tech support. So if it’s important that you can see what channel, etc. is being indicated, you need to look elsewhere.

4 Stars Great TV for the price!
I’m very impressed with the quality of this TV for such a low price. I needed a small set for my office and 22″ is the ideal size for my viewing distance and available space. This Vizio is perfect for my needs. The quality of the HD picture is crisp and clear, the color full and rich, the blacks deep and true.

The only slight negatives are the sound is a little tinny, but that seems to be common to all flat screen TV’s, and the remote control isn’t very intuitive. But these are very small complaints. I’ve already gotten used to the sound and it’s just a matter of learning the remote.

I have a large Sony Bravia in my family room with the full surround sound set up, so I go there if I want to watch a movie. But for watching TV while I work at my computer, it’s ideal. Very impressive little TV, much more than I expected for such a low price.

4 Stars Great little TV for the bedroom
I wanted a small, inexpensive TV for the bedroom, and this one turned out to be perfect in most ways. The picture is great and the sound is fine for the way I use it–I have not connected a DVD player to it yet, so I can’t speak to the problems some people have experienced.

I agree with other reviewers that the weakest part is the onscreeen menu using the remote. It is simply too small to see it without getting real close to the set. Given the fact that it’s in the bedroom, and I use it a lot to set the sleep timer, that is a real negative. I also agree that the “normal” “wide” and “panoramic” settings for altering the proportions of the picture are inadequate. Then again, for a secondary set, the price is right, and the quality of the picture is just fine.

I should add that I also bought this at Costco about a month ago and it was only $269 plus tax.

5 Stars wow!!!!
This product is amazing, and is very easy to install. It has changed my games on the computer drastically! All I can say is WOW!!!!!!!

5 Stars Great Video Card
It was easy to setup. If you register with the manufacturer it has a lifetime warranty. The card that I replaced had a 30 day warranty and it failed after six months. Amazon shipped very fast. Also their website showed what the other venders were charging for this card and Amazon had the best price and they shipped for free because it was over $25. I was concerned if my power supply could handle this big of video card seeing I have a TV card also on this computer. No problem.

5 Stars Works great on my Dell Optiplex GX260
I installed Windows 7 Beta on an old Dell Optiplex Gx260 I put in my living room to drive our Samsung flat panel. The reason I installed was that Windows XP that was on there wasn’t playing well on the local network with the other machines that were running Vista. Windows 7 installed fine and resolved the networking issues, but it turned out that the manufacturer of the card that came with the Gx260 never released Vista drivers, so everything reverted to standard VGA, which wasn’t fun. I ordered this card and it arrived today and I popped it in and it is working just fine. Installation was easy, no hassles whatsoever. The power supply on the Gx260 is 250w and the card seems happy with that. I am glad that this relatively cheap card has given my Gx260 a new lease on life.

4 Stars Very Good in a pinch!
Product arrived on time, and in excellent condition. Haven’t fully tested it yet, but it shows promise, so far. Works on my old Asus A7V motherboard with little hassle.

All in all, a very good upgrade option for anyone with an old PC with an AGP slot.

I have bought & replaced my old video card w/ this video card, It works great, fast, nice color on line movies (I am still using old mother brd w/ Pentium 4, Sony monitor, I havn’t tried to watch DVD on my computer yet).

User Ratings and Reviews

5 Stars Great antenna
Small, very little assembly required, pulls in all the digital stations great. I live fairly close to the broadcast towers and was warned that I was under the umbrella of the broadcast signal and it would be difficult to get all the signals without problems. I had an old Satellite dish on the roof that was just for local channels, it is not necessary any longer. I removed the dish and installed the antenna on the existing post and reused the coax. I get all the local signals on my HDTV and on my old tv with the cheap converter.

5 Stars Clearstream
I was amazed and gratified to find that I could STOP paying the cable bill and get just as many channels with this antenna! AND, I believe the picture quality is actually better.

I had a bit of difficulty getting started with the setup and the tech support I received from Clearstream was friendly, easy to understand and effective.

I don’t as a rule, offer reviews but this prodect and Clearstream customer service was exceptional!

4 Stars Clearstream 2 antenna
We are in a tough location. Hills and trees surround us so placement is important. We tried having it in the living room without a geat deal of success. Then we were going to strap it to the chimney, but there was a tree blocking the needed path. My wife came up with the idea of putting the mast on top of our tetherball pole which is cemented inside of an old tire. We were able to place it with a clear view of the direction needed, and it picked up everything we want. Now we have to see how it does in bad weather. That will tell us if we need to tinker with the placement further.

5 Stars Great antenna for the price
I live in the Metro Detroit area in Michigan (Harrison Twp. to be exact) and this antenna works great. Picks up all the major Detroit OTA towers, I think I get about 15 stations all together that are in digital all with a crystal clear picture. I do have a two story house and have mounted on top so I’m sure that helps, but other that it was an easy install. I used to have a Satellite dish so I was able to utilize the same exact J mounting hardware….Very convienient!

5 Stars Clearstream2 Antenna for Over The Air television signals.
Good product. Small aerial foot print. Works better with an amplifier. It was installed in Yuma, AZ. Ended up getting about 12 channels with exceptional clarity.

5 Stars Way Better Than Described!
The seller claimed there was minor damage on this TV. My husband and I looked it over very carefully and the only damage we could find was to the shipping box! This HDTV is everything the seller claimed it to be and more. We are beyond pleased at our purchase.

5 Stars Just buy it.
This is a fantastic TV. I purchased mine from OneCall, who got it to my house in 3 days. The television arrives in typical packaging: a box-over-crate with styrofoam padding. Even with the crate, the television is light and easy to manage, if not just slightly awkward due to it’s sheer size. After un-boxing and removing the protective sheet foam from the television itself, you’ll inevitably wonder, “Was my wife right… IS it too big?” Don’t worry, that thought passes as quickly as it came. There really is no such thing as too big for TVs, after all.

Out of the box, the picture is great. Most people will probably be satisfied with the picture, but will mess with the controls just because they can. After calibration, though, it’s stunning. The available controls in the user and service menu allow for an almost perfect calibration session. There was a very small compromise when it came to tint (the 835 series has PerfectTint, so if you’re looking for perfection and don’t mind paying a premium for a difference you won’t really notice, you should look at that series), but otherwise it’s as close to spec as possible.

For HTPC owners, take note that there is no DVI connection, so be sure your video card has an HDMI out or that you pick up a DVI-HDMI adapter. Other than that, it has all the connections you’ll need. The NetCommand IR works well with my IR components, including the DirecTV HD DVR. Although, it is a little slow. The slight reduction in button response is well worth not having to have an extra remote laying around and I have the added bonus of hiding all of my components. The two included IR emitters can control multiple devices. The television also has NetCommand HDMI, but I don’t have any devices capable of utilizing it.

My only complaint with this Mitsubishi is the included remote is poorly designed. Don’t get me wrong, it works well. It’s just clunky, ugly, and as ergonomic as a brick. The button layout is far from intuitive… it’s backwards from most of the remotes I use. All my other remotes have channel numbers on the bottom, television controls (up, down, left, right, menu, volume, etc) in the middle, and player controls (play, rw, ff, stop, etc) on the top. This one is numbers on the top, television controls in the middle, and player controls on the bottom.

All in all, remote aside, this is the TV you should buy if you’re not caught up in the fad of paying 4 times more for the same size screen or paying the same for a 4 times smaller screen simply because you can hang it on the wall. I couldn’t be more satisfied with the television. Well, if it had a built in beer keg…

5 Stars Mitsubishi WD-65736 65-Inch 1080p DLP HDTV
Mitsubishi WD-65736 65-Inch 1080p DLP HDTV

Three words for this television: Awesome, Fantastic, Best! I now own 2 of these televisions (other is 73″) and my friends who have large LCD and Plasma televisions are so jealous. They have all exclaimed how much better the picture is to watch on mine. I’ve had the 73″ for about a year now and have had no problems. You can’t go wrong with this television.

5 Stars Awesome product… great service
This is the first time that I have purchased something other than books and DVD’s from Amazon.com. The product is exceptional. I really love it. And the service was as promised… really First Class (through Tiger Direct). The unit arrived on time and in perfect shape. I would use Amazon for any type of purchase now, including big ticket items. It shipped for free and I didn’t have to pay sales tax so it was a great deal in addition to the already competitive price. Once again, Thank You Amazon.com for all you do!

5 Stars Great HDTV!
Purchased this television based on the many great reviews and definately was not disappointed. Incredible picture right out of the box. Had to make major changes to the audio settings but once completed, good sound as well but would highly recommend using a Surround Sound system to obtain the full benefits of the beautiful huge screen and theatre affects. Absolutely the best deal on an excellent HDTV out there!

5 Stars Very nice for my 67′ tv
I am very happy with this purchase. $ was right & it is a well built piece of furniture. My 67″ Samsung fits just right & it has plenty of room for components in the 2 side doors. The center speaker bay was too small for my 17″ long Onkyo speaker, but it works fine for putting dvd’s & such. Looks great too! Would recommend to anyone looking for a large tv stand.

5 Stars too many sound complaints
I got this T.V. off amazon in march and I’ve had it for a little more than two weeks. I am very impressed with the product; it is a great T.V. for my ROOM, which is why I can’t understand the problems people are having with the sound. First of all, the T.V. has good sound for one that is more suited for a bedroom (not a master sized); I don’t believe it’s best suited for either the kitchen or living room (both too big). If you are that concerned about the sound, you can just plug in some computer speakers in the headphone jack for some richer sound, samsung didn’t just build that in the set to make it look pretty. And if you’re looking for a more expensive solution, then there’s always digital audio. It’s silly to expect that you’re going to get the same kind of sound from a 22′ inch that you would get on a 32′ inch or larger. But everyone seems to agree that it has an excellent picture; images are clear and crisp, even in standard definition. Don’t be influenced by the “bad sound” comments, it’s a good buy.

3 Stars Bad sound on the 19 inch Samsung
We have a 32″ Samsung, similar and love it good picture good sound.

The 19 Inch has weak sound. At max you can hear it if you are right in front of the TV. Step through the door to the kitchen and it is weak even turning the set to that room for supper TV. I theorize it is a small speaker, compared to the 32 inch, with weak power. I suggested to Samsung, many calls, that they provide me with a powered auxiliary speaker. No chance. Many calls and one email, not answered, but no help. I could pack it up and send it to NJ for an evaluation but that task is daunting. This is one disadvantage of mail order. If I had purchased it down the street at Walmart I would just take it back and switch. On this product Amazon was $50 cheaper and it came in two days, no shipping, but 8% tax(boo NYS).

3 Stars Picture is Beautiful, Sound is Awful
We bought this TV for our bedroom. The picture is absolutely beautiful but we can barely hear the sound! The sound on the display is measured by a bar that goes from 1-100 and when we go to bed it has to be set on at least 50 just to be able to barely hear it. If you are going to buy this TV I would highly recommend purchasing a small set of speakers to go with it.

5 Stars No complaints good tv
After checking out LCD TVs of similar size in person at Best Buy, this Samsung model stood out for the quality of the display. It was much sharper, denser, and brighter than a comparable LG model, and it seemed sharper than the older Samsung models as well. I bought the Terk HDTVa antenna to go with it (I am using over the air reception instead of cable), and the picture on the HDTV channels I get is outstanding and never the slightest bit fuzzy or speckled. Analog channels look bad but you’re not going to watch those anyway if there’s an HD version. Without cable, I just pick up NBC, ABC, CBS, FOX, PBS but they all look great in HD. Just as an experiment, I switched the Terk Antenna on and off to see how well the built-in Samsung digital tuner worked without an antenna, and it seemed really similar but with a very tiny amount of speckling of images. So you could probably get away with not using an antenna if you live close to a tower(I live a couple blocks from a tower) I have no problem with the sound- I like how crisp and understandable it is at low volumes. This TV was extremely easy to set up as well- 20 minutes max.

5 Stars great tv
I purchased this television for my bedroom and it was a great purchase! It has a clear picture and is the perfect size.

5 Stars Awesome replacement for my old plasma
My six year old plasma finally gave up the ghost, and I spent a couple weeks researching manufacturers and models. Most of my friends have LCDs, and I always thought the picture was a bit inferior to the plasma. The new Samsung LED’s have a picture that compares nicely to plasma. The blacks are black! I have not experienced any of the uneven picture that another reviewer posted. The manufacture did recommend having the colors balanced after 100 hours, which I have not done.

The plasma was a heat machine, but this unit runs pretty cool. Can’t wait to see what it does for the electric bill.

Picture is great, features are awesome, only issue is the sound. The speakers are like a couple pancakes and they sound pretty bad. However, I using a home theater system with the unit, so speaker quality isn’t an issue for me.

Warning! The Samsung ultra slim wall mount system retails for $249., and contains about $2. worth of parts. What a rip off.

Overall, I LOVE this unit and would not hesitate to purchase it again.

4 Stars Planning to buy a 2nd one LOVE IT!
If you don’t mind the sub-par sound then this TV is for you. I just added a sound bar and it’s now superb. It does have some bright spots, meaning the screen is not perfectly uniformly lit. I suppose this is due to the edge lighting LED’s. Overall i’m not disappointed and plan on buying an additional 55″ for my living room, with a pair for 5.1 or 7.1 speakers and Blue-ray it will be AMAZING!

Word of advice as far as mounting the TV the 46″ is 40lbs and is VESA 400 thus requires a large mount BUT I spoke to a representative at OmniMount and she mentioned that I can get the CL-M + VA324 adapter vs. a larger mounting bracket. The TV is super light and there are no mounts made that take that into account with the LED TV’s.

5 Stars Sweet
Awesome! My old TV is a 5 year old HD ready (1080i) old style rear crt projection, so I guess I’ve got no real comparison, but this new LCD (using LED for light) is awesome! Got it at sears for a great deal less than here or best buy. Hope to get it installed on the wall with the wires hidden in the wall. The only really bizarre thing is that the motion looks so smooth, kind of like when you see a soap opera on TV. Other reviewers have commented on this, and this TV’s only 120Hz, the 240Hz must look really strange. I’m getting used to it, and haven’t bothered fiddling with the “Auto Motion Plus 120Hz” tuning features. Been playing some Fallout 3 with my xBox 360… legendary!

5 Stars Reminds Me When We First Got Cable….
I’m 46 and I remember when I was a kid, Mom bought cable. To go from four channels to 40 was a revolution and I remember sitting around for the next few days doing not much else but watching cable TV programming. I’m afraid the experience with this new HDTV is going to be similar. The experience, once again, is revolutionary. My what a difference a decade makes. That’s when we bought our 42″ Sony TV for the living room for just about the same price as this baby. Excellent picture my friend, but the picture you get from this TV is beyond that…I can’t imagine how it can get any better.

The first thing you MUST do before you purchase this TV is to MAKE SURE you have an HD compatible cable box. Call your provider – they’ll know if you do or not. We didn’t. The picture was good on conventional channels but certainly wasn’t as fantastic as HD is. So I ran out the door and 15 minutes later returned with the HD cable box. 5 minutes later I was up to speed. No charge for the box or the HD channels either. (Cox…you’re the BOMB!) I’m pretty certain now that “HD” stands for “Hot DAMN!….look at that picture!” It’s unbelievable. It’s almost 3D. You really DO feel like you are there – or that whoever IS there on the boob tube is coming into your living room. SpongeBob never looked so square…..dew on blades of grass, stubble on Survivorman’s chin, you name it – crystal clear.

Here’s yet another surprise. We have an as-old-as-the-hills DVD player and it is the honest to God truth that your older DVDs WILL look world’s better on this TV. We’ve got ours connected through component cables and man, what a great picture! Got a blue ray player that I haven’t connected yet because we don’t have the HDMI cable to give us the best picture.

Speaking of cables. Check online for better prices than the ridiculous $60 a pop they foist on you at the big electronics stores for a 4 foot job. I found three – count em’ three – 6 foot, gold plated, cables that yes, were the same rating as the $60 cable for the whopping price of $10 shipped. Where? Right here on good ole’ Amazon. Other similar deals abound.

I also purchased the wireless network dongle. So far, works as advertised. Internet access through the TV – though as far as I can tell – not exactly like surfing on a PC – and I can share my pictures folder on my laptop and view those on the TV too. However, it doesn’t look like I can wirelessly send the actual laptop display to the TV – that would have been nice – and I’ll bet it’s not long before something of that nature is available.

WARNING: Don’t hook up this TV directly to your computer! If you do? You’ll be thinking how to get a 46 inch monitor for every PC in the house! Incredible display. Incredible TV.

5 Stars worth every penny
I had one 40inch LCD 720p in the living room for over 2 years. I was waiting for the price to drop so I could buy 46inch LCD 1080p for my bedroom. recently I went to local store and checked out some 46inch tv’s with 60Hz priced around $1200. I went to check out the qualities, I immediated noticed big difference between 60Hz and 120Hz. I didn’t know the difference would be that big of a deal but when the camera was moving, that’s when I could tell the big difference. I came back home and researched some more. Most 46inch with 120Hz were around $1600 or more. I went back to store and compared, and I saw this one TV with outstanding picture which was Samsung LED 46. It was definitely over my budget, but I couldn’t resist. I came back home and researched and found out that LED has many advantages (40% less electricity than LCD, longer life time that it can be viewed over 100,000 hours, thinner, better contrast and so on). So I bought this.

It’s been 3 weeks now, and now, I love my room more than I ever did. I don’t wanna talk about all the merits of this LED that everyone already knows. One thing I didn’t know when I was researching was that this unit can play many types of movie files (.avi (divx and xvid), mp4, mpeg, .mkv, and many more and your firmware can be upgraded for the future movie codec)

I have many files that are .avi and .mkv with the size over 2gb that are blu-ray ripped. Those big .mkv files play without any problem and near blu-ray quality.

I also figured that this unit works with any USB external hard drive as well as USB memory. I tried my 1TB seagage external hard drive with power adapter, 500GB portable WD hard drive without adapter, and it worked like a charm.

I checked the electricity consumtion with my P2 gauge, and it was measured between 85 – 110 watts.

I know this LED is edge technology type of LED that some say it’s not a true LED, and LG’s new model is true LED, but that will consume more electricity and that is thicker and heavier than this one.

Also some of you are waiting for OLED to come out, but that will be at least 4-5 years and the price will be toooo high.

This Samsung LED is without a doubt, the best quality TV out there in the market, and if you don’t mind spending $4-500 more, that’s good investment you won’t regret

5 Stars Great set!
Picked the Panasonic TC-P42C1 42″ plasma TV set a few days ago at Target so I haven’t had it very long. So far I am VERY pleased. I have always had great luck with Panasonic TVs in the past, so I was pretty confident with my selection.

The Target guys helped me get it loaded and I was able to move it by myself from my van to the house with a small dolly. Setup couldn’t have been easier. I decided to go with plasma since my living room has very low light most of the day and everything I have read said that plasma was better than LCD under those conditions.

The picture is stunning! There are several different picture settings, including the ability for custom setups. Sound is better than average for TV speakers, but I will be getting a home theater setup soon for full enjoyment.

I love this TV!!!
